They completed 6 months astronaut training .... 5 of which was on the range !!
btw if yer swing was prone to a slight draw/fade would zero gravity exaggerate or nullify it ... just wondering ...

The big effect would be that because there wouldn't be air resistance, the fade or draw would cease to exist.

OMG, 8 kilometres per second! That's faster than most bullets.

And talk about the longest drive in the world... travelling right around the earth over the course of 4 years.

If my calculations are correct, that means the total theoretical distance the ball would travel would be about 3,942,000 kilometres and it would circle the earth just over 98 times!
