I have not a bit of advice. I missed 4 birdie putts inside of 12ft. today. One was about a 6 footer. The rain has left many of the holes with the old "Volcano" effect. I normally have good speed and can drop it in even if I'm off by half the hole but today they were all being rejected.

Glad to see you got a 2-ball, Bravo. Good work and I hope it fairs you well, my son

I putted real bad today, me. Was hitting good enough putts most of the time, but got to the point I got fed up with missing, plus it was real hard as it was dead windy. 2-ball is def. the answer, though !

As I posted elsewhere - I adore it. Worship it.

I am kneeling on the altar pad as we speak with the club in front of me...

I would go to the practice green and find a level, straight 5 foot putt. I would try to make as many in a row as I could and go through my putting routine each time without fail. Set a minimum number that you have to make before you can quit (For me it is 12). I have made as many as 30 in a row. I can promise that nothing will improve your putting as much as the feeling that the vast majority of your short putts are going in. If do this for a while all putts will begin to feel "routine" and a lot less pressure filled because you are used to practicing them with a little bit of pressure already built in. Starting over a few times at say number 10 or 11 gets you going pretty good.

I have already started practicing. I am taking my 9 yo daughter to the pool and bring my new putter with me. It is helping. I am trying to get back into the routine I used years ago when I was a good putter....I still love the new putter though..

Ironically,it worked the other way for me.I got to worked up about process,routine,pre-shot routine etc etc etc and lost all feel. Now I let my pre-shot routine flow a little, just go with the mood, and all I think about is the target and getting a feel for visualizing the ball going in the hole.I focused entirely on a robotic routine and lost all feel

This is the routine that I "practice" when I am practicing my 5 footers. All I ever think about is rolling the ball into the hole. Aim, set my feet, look at the target again, look at the ball, stroke the putt.

If the two ball works out then great. If not, pick up EVERY putter in the shop and just FEEL what they're like. Which one WANTS to travel square to the target line? Which one WANTS to move in a smooth pendulum stroke? Which one LOOKS good at address?
