TaylorMade special

I went down to my local golf shop (BestGolf) to try out the R7 and Ignite to compare them. They were selling the R7 for $400 but they said they have a deal that TaylorMade put out unitl July 23rd that when you buy an R7 driver you get either a fairwaywood or a rescue club for free. I didnt know if you guys knew this but I thought I would share incase someone was debating buying one but needed something else to get them to pay out that kind of dough.

TM are also doing an offer called "Trade up" in certain shops over here (Nivada Bobs, Direct golf). Basically if your buying any new Taylor Made product (woods or irons), what ever the shop offer you for your old sticks TM add £50 to the value. I traded in a Cobra 454 against an R7 460. Shop gave me £100 plus TM's £50 meant I only paid £80.

I hit it last Saturday and all I could say was WOW! I mean not $400 wow but you can get it for right around $200 on E-Bay and i know Ezra got his TP for $150 on E-Bay. So I would have to say yes it is.

$169 after all said and done but still a steal. It came with nothing though, no headcover, weights, wrench. Not to mention the head is a little ugly too (skymarks/chips). What is the fairway wood model they are offering? At least an R5 I would hope?

They are offering the R7 fairwaywood or less or a rescue.

I am currently hitting the R7 425 and I honestly dont think I would hit any other driver. I also have the R5 3 wood and it is also a very nice fairway wood.

How much is the R7? The R7 3W is going for more than the driver on Ebay.

At my shop the R7 is $400 the new model and the fairwya woods are $230 I believe. I think i will be getting the R7 HT Model as I like the ball high and they are a bit cheaper than the regular R7 on E-Bay.
