Myrtle Beach

A buddy and I are planning a weekend for mid-late September. Anyone have success with any of the services that put together a package for you? If anyone can refer me to a website for a service they have used, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

P.S. - If you know of a "must-play" course in Myrtle, let me know that as well.

What? Didn't you go there this past spring? I could have sworn it was you......perhaps I'm mistaken.

Anyway, Look up EDSgolf in the memberlist, his job is arranging trips to Myrtle.

Top 50 courses in MB as rated by Golf Digest

http://www.golfdigest.com/courses/tr...tlebeach2.html

Personally, on this list I've played
#22 - Wild Wing Avocet - very nice course, well worth it
#23 - International World Tour - signature course where every hole is a duplicate of a certain hole on famous courses ( ie: they have Amen corner from Augusta ). Very cool to play holes you've seen on TV, and probably will never get to play. They even have #17 Sawgrass, the island green.
I would recommend this one as well.
#41 - Wild Wing Falcon - nice course, not as nice as the others though
#46 - Tradition - played it too long ago to say either way, I remember it being nice though.

I have heard from people that have played them that the Barefoot courses ( Love, Fazio, Dye ) are well worth it and are must plays. I plan on playing them myself the next time I make it down there.

Some time ago but the ones that stuck out were:

Sandpiper Bay - Pretty easy but nice and in good condition
Tradition - very good
The Witch
PGA National - Great hole called "the Gambler"
Oyster Bay

anyway have fun golfing. Nothing much else to do...
