VTDivot golf swing

Mind the waterdrops on the lens, SWMBO had the camera at the beach with the kiddies the day before

1. Driver down the line
2. Driver face-on
3. 7 iron face-on

I've been working on shortening my swing and improving my quick tempo. It's somewhat clear in the iron video. Comments and critique very welcome and appreciated you too cypressearch

sling - you can't attach video anymore??? It's only 3MB. Do I need to host this myself and URL back to it?

Putfile kinda sux

But since I was too lazy (and don't feel like posting my webserver IP to the world) I put it up there. If the link doesn't work, or the video is shit, let me know and I'll host it here tomorrow.

Thanks!

nice lookin swing. I dont know enough to comment on it... But I can tell the first drive looked like a slice.... The video quality is good though...

edit - it's good to see some swing video though.. .. I'd put my mess of a swing up here if I had a camera.

Chris... Bored at work again.

That is a pretty solid swing there mate, well done. You stay well behind the ball on impact which is perfectly fine but you always have the option of moving a bit more weight through to the LHS at impact for greater distance. You also turn your wrists over immediately at the start which as long as you don't overdo it won't cause you any problems and is more of an aesthetic thing really.

Nice tempo on all shots, great set up, very impressive really, best swing so far that I've seen on here.

EDIT: What are you doing off 9 h'cap?! Your short game must need work LOL

Solid. Very solid. As I moved through the clips bit by bit I was especially impressed by your position at the top. Clubface square, arms on plane, nice hip rotation, and very good spine angle. Coming down through the ball you make a smooth and unhurried shoulder and torso turn. You don't really drive your swing from the ground up, but I personally think that produces a more controllable swing. An ever-so-slight early release has you holding on at impact just a bit.

But overall, a very elegant and well-balanced swing.

Thanks for the feedback, it is appreciated and more is welcome. It is interesting to see what others notice about your own swing, especially when you are always your biggest critic. Thanks to everyone who mentionned my tempo, it is my achilles heel. When off I am wild as hell, so it's nice to have it under control for now

Eracer - An ever-so-slight early release has you holding on at impact just a bit.
I have a tendency to get quick and come to fast from the top. This is key for me to stop hooking the golf ball

Eracer - I was especially impressed by your position at the top.
Thanks, I have been working on shortening my backswing slightly to help with my tempo

English Golfer - You stay well behind the ball on impact which is perfectly fine but you always have the option of moving a bit more weight through to the LHS at impact for greater distance
See my response above about me fighting the hook

English Golfer - What are you doing off 9 h'cap?! Your short game must need work LOL
This is more true than I care to admit right now, although I managed a 76 today on aerated greens

halifax golfer - But I can tell the first drive looked like a slice....
I couldn't slice the ball if my life depended on it right now, although I'd love to be able to work a little fade in there now and again

You've gotten fat (or maybe I'm too thin )

Nice swing here. Really an improvement over last year.
If I only have one thing to say, and it's not a critique, is that your feet are aligned to the right (in the first sequence). Which may actually transform itself into a nasty hook if your body turned too fast.
A correction isn't necessary, really

Still in NS?

Very sexy swing.
I detected the very slightest left heel lift, did I not?

I'm back in VT, and I weigh the same as I did last summer (although now I am feeling self concious)

I do aim a little right so I can draw the ball yes, and I do pull or hook the ball when I get too fast - good eye

Sling - nice eye. I do seem to have some extraneous leg action. Something to work on
