Question what grip do you guys prefer?

just wondering what grip everyone uses?... I went to the range today and only had time for like 30 balls. I wasn't getting my grip right it didn't feel good, I normally use an interlocking grip. Anyways, I figured it out when I got home and swung a club in my back yard for a couple mins... And I actually found out that I find it Easier to get a correct grip on the club with the Vardon grip, but I've never really hit balls like this, however the swing felt nice.

Anyways, just looking for a bit of advice. I'm into hogans 5 lessons, and he recomends the vardon (I think. ).

The only big problem I have here, is that it's my only golf game of the year comming up this weekend that I get to play with my Dad. And I really want to play well, I will only have tommorow to try out the new grip style at the range again.

Chris.

I use the interlocking. I don't think I could switch as I've gotten very comfortable with it. We did a poll on this a while back that had a lot of info. Actually I think I started it as I recall putting Kung Fu grip as an option. Hold on I'll see if I can find it. Holy crap, I've started a whole lot of threads. Here it is.

Which Grip?

I use the Vardon or overlap grip.

The one thing that has helped me improve my grip in the past few years is using the Momentous training aid. That thing helps my swing and perhaps builds strength, but I actually think that the grip on it may be the best part of it. It forces you to take a perfect grip. Sincerely, Cypressperch

Single finger interlock. Works for dudes with small fingers like me.

Don't use it playing for $$. I'd take it to the range and hit it off the tee and the fairway (grass, mat, whatever). I just picked up a 4wood and hit it about 30 times at the range and in the bag it went. I hit the thing just as well as my 5wood but about 10 yds. further. The only way to get used to it is to use it.

That's funny 2 of the guys on this forum whom I think might out drive me and you both use the interlocking grip. I also use the interlocking grip, I know it's trivial, but interesting.

Overlap exactly like Hogan's lessons show. Used to use the interlock and the overlap is much more natural.

How far do you put it out there? Longest drive you have ever hit on the course? I can't score worth a damn, but I can pound it.

On a different note, I am not saying there are not more than 2 guys here that can outdrive me, just that I am pretty sure as far as that one stat goes I am in the top 10 on the forum, guessing top 5. It's all for crap until I can play the rest of the game though.

P.S. 2 of the last 3 times I have been out, I have driven past par 4's, one that was 349 and one that was 353.
