I got it last month, on the 21st of July in the morning. Beautiful day. Was playing with an old guy and this was the 7th hole, 159 yards from tee box on top of a hill down to the fairly large green where a small "stream" ran along the front and a sand trap on left and right sides. They don't allow carts to cross to the green so there is a walking bridge to get to the green. Green is not flat, rolling contour. Pin was right in center (easy placement). Hit my (new, beautiful) Ping G5 6-iron (I'm not a long hitter) perfectly, very high. I knew it was a good shot from the crisp feel I got (Pings do have feel) and watched the trajectory exactly on line going up and coming down. No draw or fad. Then it landed and there was no bounce and looked like it came down on the pin but I never thought of an ace since I hadn't had one in 40 years, even though I've come within an inch a dozen times. I knew it wasn't short so thought I might have hit it over the back with my new irons. I got to the green and started looking off the back and no ball. I walked past the pin and just (as a wild hope) looked down and there it was in the hole. When you think about it, for something like that to happen is PURE DUMB LUCK, LOL.
