Best golf statistics website?

I'm just wondering what the best free website is out there for keeping track of my rounds, courses, and most importantly statistical data.

I've tried a few but most of them are either cumbersome to use or have features I don't want or just don't provide enough or any stats.

Does anyone have a favorite website they use to track their stats?

I use Golfserve. They have awesome stat tracking as well as providing an official USGA handicap for any course I enter a score from. I track my putts and GIR but could track just about anything I care to keep track of. I can track my fairways hit and even my GIR percentage after hitting the fairway as opposed to not. I can break rounds up into different groups and see how I've been improving month to month or whatever. It did cost me $29.95 for the year but came with a years subscription to GolfMagazine. I'd have to say I'm quite pleased with it, highly reccomend it and will definitely be reupping my subscription next year.

Excellet, thanks. I'll have to check that one out. The official handicap is key. I've found most of the free sites either don't do handicap or provide one that isn't official. Hopefully golfserv has all the stats I want.

Sorry, I just assumed this was SPAM, because the only one who would appreciatte that site is the person who is responsible for it's creation. Where exactly did you find out about this site? I find it hard to believe they will ever make it out of Beta if they allow users to accidentally delete other users courses. For example, you now have to go in and reenter your course in Franklin, TN because my finger slipped. Sometimes free is not a big bargain when such little time is taken by the programmer to assure the integrity of the site. A little advice you may want to lock your user records next time around. But I guess with the money you save, you will not mind having to reenter the course day after day. Plus the interfaces is just down right nasty, you can not even page through the courses again without loging in and out with accepted fictitious users. Sorry but if this is not spam I apologize, check out the trial of Intelligolf, and if you did create this site, you did a really lousy job and should be ashamed for advertising it on here, one that could be done better by a 10 year old.

I will pay my money and take my chances with Intelligolf anyday, it may not be free but atleast the information will stay on the site.

What a joke.

Intelligolf does look good. I think I like that over Golfserv.

To answer your concerns about scorecaddy I did create it so I apologize to everyone for the shameless self promotion. Even though I got the feedback I wanted, I should have phrased my question differently. Thanks for calling me out.

The interfaces is intentionally bland. The point is to address features first. If a user is impressed by the way a site looks but the app doesn't do anything then the software engineer is merely polishing a terd.

10 year olds these days are pretty savvy. Perhaps one could design a better site. Unfortunately for the 10 year old population I don't see a site on the web that does what my site does. This actually goes back to my original post. If there are better free sites out there lets hear about them. Intelegolf looks great but its 52.95. Golfserv is 29.00. Those prices may be fair but we are talking best site which takes into account value.

To address the design decision to allow the community to handle the accuracy of the course data I think that has been well established as a popular and effective way to manage data on the Internet.

Go ahead delete a course. Delete all of them, if you're intention is to be a jerk. But frankly it doesn't matter because it doesn't affect user data. I can still view my Franklin TN scorecard and my statistics are still accurate.

Actually, my intent was to prove the point, not to be a jerk. Otherwise I would have deleted all of them. My intent was further to show the value you may have received from the honest opinions you will find on this site. Hence the comments about locking the records that are entered, and cleaning up the interface to allow you to smoothly switch from one course to another. Although your statistics may still be intact, I find it unlikely you will have many users that wish the same course everytime they enter a round. I know my time is more valuable. As a Programmer myself, the only way to test the integrity of the data from my end was to attempt to change or delete a record. In the same sense, I created a fictious user to do so. Just take it as constructive criticism, which I feel you did or you would not have responded.

In the end, I think you made another lapse in judgement by being deceptive in trying to advertise your product and get feedback. Simply because you did not have enough respect for the aministrators in this site by valuing their rules. In the same sense that I have no question that if I were to post a site and software and asked for opinions I would get honest feedback, by simply following the few rules on the site. Although it will not be on my doing, I have no question that you will be forbidden from coming back to this site and recieving further feedback, as well as your link being removed.

Just a hunch, and the nature of my comment about Lovegolf? Had you taken interest in the site enough to read other post's from today, you would likely have known what I was refering to in my post.

edit 1 - Also, it is again hard to tell if you are once again being deceptive, or just unaware of you competition, either of which only supports my initial comments about the practice taken on your site. Intelligolf desktop is only $29, has 1000's of non-deletable courses, a user friendly interface, 100's of other trackable and sortable features, and years of respect from a reputable product. Unless you are comparing your software to the Palm, PPC and Phone versions, to take it on the course with GPS capability. Which you fail to provide to the best of my knowledge.

I know you aren't a jerk. But if you were you could delete all the courses. My point was it doesn't do anything to the users scorecards or their statistical data.

I'm not following. Users can select any existing course they like or if the course doesn't exist they can enter it. Any other user can add a different tee configuration to that course or delete tee configurations or the entire course. The idea is the community maintains the course data.

Anyway, I appreciate your constructive criticism, and pointing out that I didn’t follow the rules of this site. I'll edit my original post to remove my link or maybe it is possible for the admin to delete the entire thread. My intentions were not to clutter up this forum with programming philosophies or to attract users to my site. I honestly just want to use good golf software.

I use mygolfdomain.com. Its pretty good you can break the stats down like Ezra said about golfserve. MGD also produces graphs showing recent scores at course. Pretty much every stat you could possibly find a use for. You can even break down every course and figure out what your personal strokes would be
