The Shot Talk book...an idea...

I have this Tom Wishon book, "The Search for the Perfect Golf Club".

I personally think it's a great read, save a few chapters. It really outlines alot about the shaft, the swing and how they interact. No Pelz gadgets, just straight forward writing.

I'm thinking I'm gonna pass it around the Shot Talk community to have everyone give it a read and then sign it. It'd be cool to get it back in a year or so and have all the signatures of the group here. Maybe a few words, a comment, a drawing....anything.

I'm sending it off to Warbirdlover this weekend. Maybe throw your name into this thread if you're interested in giving it a read. I ask that whomever wants to read it then sends it off to the next willing participant on their dime. Shipping this book will be dead cheap, well worth what you'll take from it in knowledge.

Anyone interested in something like that?

R35

PS....Sling, I know you're a HUGE Wishon fan, so you'll be all over this....that might be the hardest signature to get....

That's a sweet idea Rocke I'd be up for it. though I wouldnt have time to read it next for some time so put me ont he list just a ways down it. I probably concentrate on reading texts books while in school rather than golf books. .

A Rock Rendevous.

Sounds interesting.

Just keep a tab on who has the book in this thread. I would hope a couple of weeks between recipients would be all anyone would need.

And Doc, no sense sending it your way, it's not written FO-NET-TICK-LY.

And it didn't have many pictures.

Although p 281 has a picture of the clubfitter I went to see, Dana Upshaw.

I'll read it for free. Hook me up.

I bought his newest book, Common Sense Clubfitting, and it is a GREAT tome of knowledge on how to put together a set for someone. Everything is laid out in Common Sense terms.

I guess he's supposed to have a new book coming out before Christmas called Common Sense Driver Fitting that's supposed to be the most up to date way to fit a player for a driver, taking every factor into consideration.

Wishon's stuff is gold. Nobody has designed more sets of clubs in the history of golf. He knows exactly what he's talking about and can explain most anything in very easy terms.

Sign me up.

I would love to read it, although what the heck all I would do with the perfect golf club is turn it into the imperfect hook machine.

As a founding 'Ho from ST I think I better put my name down. T35 you have my address right? Who's holding the baby right now? This could get confusing, better get a list drawn up.
