Your question is rather vague, I imagine you may get all kinds of comical responses. I would simply say a good place to start may be buying Hogans 5 fundamentals. I will tell you many feel this is the best way to swing a club, however I would add that trying to adapt to some of his ideas will certainly not be the "easiest" if you already have a different swing. My experience is that there is no "easy" way to swing a golf club "good". Only in time and by adapting will it become easy. I would only guess the easiest way to swing a club may in fact be the worst.

In the mean time, check out RBB's thread on the Hogan book, and this site may help as well for getting started.

Here is RBB's thread, rarely do I feel that many threads deserve a sticky, but I think this one contains a great deal of useful information, and is probably deserving.
My thoughts while I work through reading Hogan's Five Lessons

Thanks for the endorsement. I have a blurb that I really ought to add to it, as I've been struggling some since recovering from the mono in July. I finally figured out where I was glitching while watching the final of the Women's Am on Sunday night.

Welcome to the game of golf. Your question

would seem to be simple enough, but the golf swing has been studied by so many different folks over the years that words like "best, easiest, and correct" do not work too well. Hogan's book on Five Lessons may be the best, but I am not sure that his writing provides the easiest path to a good swing. As to what swing is correct, I doubt if that question will ever be answered. You seldom see the names of Nicklaus or Woods brought up as models to copy, but they certainly won and win an awful lot. (That video clip of Woods on the Nike site IS worth viewing!!)

Personally, I have never found a book more useful than THE GOLF SWING SIMPLIFIED by John Jacobs. You will be instructed on the "geometry of golf" which will stay with you forever as a great tool for understanding every swing and shot you ever make. You will be shown how your grip, alinement, posture, etc. influence the flight of the ball. The flight of the ball tells you every thing you need to know once you have grasped Jacob's easy to understand material on the swing.

Best of all, Jacobs is not out to try to force a certain swing on you. The book really does an outstanding job of presenting proven golf swing principles in a way that fits your swing or any swing. This can be done when the focus always remains on achieving consistently accurate and solid contact at impact.

You might here of one plane and two plane swings, and then wonder which one should you go with. Whether you go with Hogan's classic study, Jacob's simplified approach, or some other approach, you really can do so without worrying about the great plane debate. For all the differences in the many great swings that have been developed, they are still fundamentally close to the same. At the least, at impact time all of these great swings have found a very similar position. I feel confident that you can get yourself in that position if you learn those fundamentals and practice them patiently over Time. You will be a very rare person if it does not take considerable time to achieve anything close to your full potential. Do not be hard on yourself, ever!!! Hogan said golf is a game of the best miss hit shots, and if we can keep that in mind, we will really enjoy the game a lot more. Everyone's game is a "work in progress," and even Tiger would say that that is true of his game. I guess it is much more of a journey thing than arriving at some final destination.

The very best of luck to you on your journey. I think you will enjoy it. Sincerely, Cypressperch

Lastly, you may have been at this game more than I have guessed. If so, my apologies. But if you are new to this game, feel free to ask your pro or experienced golfer about golf etiquette, slow play, and such. It is amazing how beginning golfers get all kinds of info on the swing and such but little if anything about the etiquette that when followed make this game so much more enjoyable for all. CP

I honestly think the swing that most of the pros uses on tour, aka the Hogan swing, is fundamentally flawed. The pronation of the forearms on the backswing, then the supination on the downswing, added with a vertical ****ing motion requires a lot of practice and timing to hit solid, and shoot straight...
