Tiger's Stance - Driving

I have a similar swing as Tiger's with alog of shoulder turn and not much in the hips. I am hitting the ball pretty well right now but occasionally I catch myself opening up my club face on occasion. Regardless I am just trying to figure out how much Tiger bends his knees on his drive. It is impossible to determine due to the pants but if anyone has any idea or knows of a video that mind be of help on YouTube of Google, let me know.

Nice try, Tiger, we know who you are. Go back and see Haney; we're too busy to try to fix your swing for you. And don't pretend to use someone else's name again.

His knees stay slighty flexed throughout the swing

nice.

Tiger really hides his back arm (from an imagionary person standing down the target line).. It's very distinct.

Halifax

that just keeps him on plane, its the reason why Hogan suggested your elbow indents should face upwards, particularly the inside right elbow.

Here's one of him on a launch monitor. Kind of puts those so called 300 yard drives in perspective.

Are you saying that my 105mph swing speed doesnt = a 300yd drive

Thats a cool video, you can really see the Sam Snead like sit down move at the beginning of the downswing. His swing is incredible

LOL. Neither does mine. I have yet to figure out how a 95mph = 300+ though. I really liked that vid too, ubelievable amount of lag he has there.

I dont understand how he swings at 140mph and only hits it 297?.... I know I'm totally a crappy golfer, I swing at 96mph last time I got it timed or whatever... But I know I've hit drives to the fringe of the green on straight 310 yard holes.... Unless the yardges are messed at the courses that I've played which wouldn't make much sense.

Just wondering why his ball didn't go WAY further is all, when us hackers hit it 260-290 with 100mph swings.

Chris.

I know what you mean, and it may be that those #'s are for carry distance only. It takes alot of clubhead speed as you can see to CARRY the ball 300+, and it is entirely possible that the yardages are off.

Take for example the first hole at a club i play at alot. It measures 350 from the middle tees. I have hit drives within 30yds of the green but that doesnt mean that i can hit the ball 320. The way the hole plays from the tee is down into a valley and then up a hill again to the green. So, from the tee to the middle of the fairway at the bottom of the hill may be 200 yds, but to carry the valley is only a shot of about 250....its just the way the hole is measured....i dont know if any of this makes sense i hope so though.
