our club has no range and no tee schedule. first come first serve. there's always room to play. we can do what we want, generally.

if i'm trying to get sharp, i get there early and start a par 5 with a 7 iron off the tee, and play the ball to the green with a 7 or shorter when necessary.

i do this for about 3 holes, then cart over to a par 5, number four at our club, and rip the driver. if i hit it well, which is dogged to the right, i head over to number 2, which is a par 5, straight for 400 yards, with ob on each side, then a sharp right turn bounded by a row of tall pines, for another 150 yards. if i'm hitting good, then my driver should nail 300 or better of that first 400.

if things work out to that extent, i head back to a par 3, about 180, and use the irons again.

this takes me about 30-45 minutes, tops.

oh, i also run about 4-6 miles each day, if that makes a difference.

Usually I play alone, walking in 104 degree heat so I really don't want to use energy swinging. In a cool morning though, I'll hit a few then putt putt putt.
