forged accuracy

i just completed my first golf year in july. i also just purchased an inexpensive set of forged cb's. my other "shelved" set is nike slingshots.

man, the forged accuracy is something else. these are from diamondtourgolf.com, called "henry hattons" and have a slight carved cavity.

they do take some acclimating, but not really that much. i've gotten to be a pretty good ball striker.

i've had these about 10 days and what knocks me out is the number of pins i've hit. chipping and pitching are simply rifle sure; something that the big head clubs simply can't touch in my experience.

i'll play these throughout the winter, and probably move up in class to the mizuno mp-30's, which i understand is a signature line now, but i bet i can find the in clearance or on ebay.

anyone know how they compare to the mp-60's?

I couldnt help you on the comparison, because I have not played either clubs... BUT I do know what you mean when you talk about "simply rifle sure; something that the big head clubs simply can't touch in my experience." I have always felt most comfortable with thin smaller headed sticks.. When I use the thick irons (or driver/woods) that my friends had, they just didn't work right for me.

I feel better control with the smallers..

Feel them out, find a friend and try theirs, or if you can find some demo's, use those..

Good luck. Keep it up.. it's a great game.. (as Im sure you've already noticed )

I think a lot of it is the smaller club head as Boarder said, as I have used both Forged and Cast irons, and while there is a difference, Im not totally sold that its widely noticable. Of course, my dad used to tell me that you could hit sticks and if you have got it, youve got it.
