So, i hit the farthest drive anyones ever seen in person today.

So, today at my highschool match we were playing a very fast course, and somehow i put a ball 389 down the middle of the fairway. I know it may seem outragous but both coaches came out to pace it off and even congradulate me. It was insane, my farthest drive to date is somewhere in the 330-340 range. But today, my driver was hot. On the hole before my masculine drive, i sent one 345 into the rough on the right of the fairway, then the hole after, one was 335 dead center. This was incredible to me because i even debated dropping my driver for my 1iron today, since my driver has been erratic. Luckily i dropped my 3 wood. I'm not sure why i'm posting this, possibly because there arent many things in golf i do better then most people and i like to feel good about myself Thanks for listening to probably the most pointless thread on the board.

389 yards!! That's disgusting!! But congrats, you should be really proud!!! I can't imagine hitting it that far and I don't blame you for posting this. You will, however, make us old guys extremely blue with envy. So give us all the equipment info and how you scored etc etc. And when you will turn pro. (I got a hole-in-one this year but that's not due to skill, just dumb luck).....

Not bad... not bad. For a high school kid.

JK.. that's awesome man! Good job.

Man I miss my high school team.. golfing everyday.. for free. Traveling for tournaments.. ugh.. I hate having to go off to college at a tech school (with no sports activities) and work full time/school fulltime.

ANYWAY, congrats! Keep up the good work..

Great line...lol.

I once cut the corner on a 549 yard par 5 and ended up 60 yards from the green. Can you beat 490?

Yeah, old people turn blue. You didnt know that? But yeah i ended up shooting 36, 1 over. I wasnt too happy with my score, as i missed an easy eagle and an easy birdie. I had the drive with my uh Maxfli A10, which makes me wonder what a high end driver and shaft would do for me, anyone care to donate to find out? Thanks for all the replys about this nonsense, and oh yeah rock, i routinely drive a dogleg left's green which is 380 away with my 6 iron over woods, what now?

Yeah, highschool golf is great, i wish i would have taken it up earlier. This is my first year golfing, i ended up quitting my senoir year of football to play golf. I'm still not sure why, but i think its because the waking up everyday at 6am would have severly cut into my summer drinking schedule. Since im new to highschool golf, how does one qualify for state, and such? My team probably wont, were 1-2 right now, but my first 3 matches i shot 34-32-36, so hopefully i have a chance.

nice work with the cannon err driver...

doesn't sound like you play the same type of matches that we do so state qualifying might be different.. but this is how we do it,

everyone plays their own round the cumulative best two school's go, then the player's who play for those schools have their scores taken off the board, then a cut is established, and the next top 10 individuals go i believe. something along those lines....sadly i haven't stuck around to watch them score one due to me not being in contention....things will hopefully change this year

Wise choice - I quit almost everything to play football and look where that got me Good luck on the tour...need a caddie? My calves are not as huge as Stevie's (Tiger's caddie) but I'll make it work.

yeah I tried for my high school team my freshman year but I showed up on tryout day and I didnt know I needed a physical from my doctor prior to the tryouts, so they wouldnt let me tryout..

I ended up only playing Soph - Senior.

About the qualifying for state.. Im not sure. I never did.. but your scores are looking better than mine were... so you might be able to.

I played with a friend (ex Pro) the other day, while the senior twosome ahead of us were poking along my friend dropped two balls on the 9th hole par 5 and eagled both of them. I would not have believed it unless I saw it.

Just the other day I was told that I hit the crookedist (sp) drive anyone had ever seen. I still made par, thankfully it was a par 5.

Kilted Arab,

I couldn't remember the color okay?

If we can count the times we've cut corners on dogleg par 5's I can spit some big hits out here, LOL. Not really a fair comparison though.
