Attention Mississippi Golfers

I am due to land in Biloxi, Mississippi on 10 September and will be there for approximately 5 1/2 weeks, and was looking for someone who knows something about the local golf scene. I know they have some munis and private courses in addition to the course on Keesler AFB.

Do you know the condition of the Keesler course? I heard Katrina tore it up pretty badly, but I don't know if it's up and running, or to what extent the course has been repaired.

As for the other courses, which muni would you recommend around $30?

Any help would be appreciated.

I am in Birmingham about 250 miles away but have not played in that area...I would think that the courses should be well recovered from the Hurrcane by now.

And you will be there in time for some really great weather...maybe I can find some good ones for you.

I've played two courses in Biloxi. The Bridges is a very nice Arnold Palmer design. It was probably a little more than $30.00. I understand from the web that it is closed for renovations. http://www.golfcoast.com/main/query/...ID_7/index.htm

Nice course to which I did not do justice.

I'd recommend either course, although as I say, the costs may be a little more than you want.
