Thread: My winter agenda, as follows.

  1. My winter agenda, as follows.

Well, since golf season is winding down here in northeast ohio, i figured i should start planning for winter. I put my net up, outside for the time being, and i like it so far. Since it is so close, i cant really judge how the ball will fly, other then feel, sound, and ammount of divot. I will be hitting into this net with blades, as they are the only thing that will give me enough helpfull feedback, any other ideas of drills i could do? Also, i plan on regripping my clubs before new season, any ideas? Lastly, I really want to see what all this accuflex buzz is about, i really like the looks and support they offer even on a small venue like shottalk. Im thinking of reshafting my 905t with maybe an assassin II or Evo Light, where could i get this done, or any other ideas? Thanks for any help you guys may give.

  2. If you're a big swinger go with the Evo original. The two Evo's are their hot clubs right now other then the huge $ one that only the pro's can get now. Forgot the name.

  3. I think its called the creation or something, it may be out by the time i reshaft, so who knows. I'm not sure what i want, but at all of their shafts available for under $110, i think an accuflex may be the way to go. Also, are there any places that sell heads, not the knockoff brands, but just legit heads?

Check E-bay. You can often buy just heads there. In the "clubmaking" section.

I just ordered an Evolution for my HiBore. It'll be here next week.

The other shaft is the MNY (MoNeY), but it and the Creation are prototype. Not available to the public - yet.

Yeah, we're still a couple of weeks away from the really nice weather. It was high 80s yesterday so it's close.

    Doc,
You're cruel.....but I'm with you, a frost delay should be couple hours not months!! I'm a new resident here in west Texas but my understanding is the only thing that changes with winter here is the temperature of the 30 knot winds!!

Off to practice my knock-down shots..............

  13. We have about 4 weeks of great golfing weather here in Georgia: the first 2 weeks of April and the last 2 weeks of September.

One day, I'm going to challenge Rock to a match on my home course: in August.

good idea with the blades and net, may have to try that myself. As far as grips i have used most of Golf prides offerenings and like the tour velvet as far as cost. The best I have used and new favorite on all my clubs is the Lamkin Crossline Cord softie grip. It just feels good in my hands.
