Nightmare

About 4 weeks ago i was asked to take out three new members for handicap evaluations.I had no idea of their playing ability but i have taken new members out on several occasions so dident pay much attention.
Alarm bells started ringing on the first hole two of them way into the heavy rough i had to pull them up on the time rule for looking for lost balls 8 times during the round.
We had to look for lost balls on 15 holes and two times twice playing the same hole.I called 4 groups of players through something i have never done before. They walked across the line of my putts, started the buggie up on my down swing.
The third guy about a 20 handicap was fine it was the two other guys who were the problem. On the 5th one player caught his drive on the hosel and knockes it 30yrds off the tee,we cannot find the ball so he walks back and plays another down the middle 220yrds.Just after he hits it we find his first ball so he walks over to pick up his first ball i point out he did not declare it lost so he has to play it from the deep rough. This sort of thing happened the whole way round the course.
As playing partners they were nice guys but the round took so long i just could not concentrate nearly SIX HOURS.
In the end i was not even putting out just to try and speed things up.I have never looked for so many lost balls 17 times in all could be a record ? can anyone think of a round like this one ?

Stock the woods with poisonous snakes and other dangerous vermin. It cuts down on the search time.

Six hours! I would have needed a dinner break!

Maybe only take 1 out at a time?

I've had a couple rounds like this, pretty sad.

Honestly, I don't care if you are good or not, just keep pace of play up.
