Actually, will say one thing, look at how stiff the flex is.He had them made as stiff as possible, probably extra, extra stiff by todays standards, yet at 5'8" and 10 stone dripping wet he still powered those shafts through the ball. That picture drips of power, literally oozes it.I challenge any golfer not to stare at that picture is pure admiration. No other golfer has that effect.Imho.

Thanks for posting...that is indeed awesome...so compact. Perfect foot and knee position..perfectly straight left arm...

I should print this and keep it above my desk.

Maybe somehow it would sink in

Big Jim,

He's really not as "flat" as a lot of people think. There just isn't much "lift" in his swing. If this were a down the line view instead of face on, you'd see that he's a bit more bent over than some people swing and he's actually turning his shoulders perpindicular to his spine. Turning the shoulders like this is the best way to consistently strike the ball with power.

Nicklaus was one plane,a classic one planer at that, and Tigers swing changes have moved him towards a one plane swing, something Harmon disagreed with.Trevor Immelman is a great example of a one plane swing in the modern game

About videos for self improvement

[quote=dave.;77116]Actually, I will say one thing,

Honestly, I was going to let you have your day in the sun Dave, but you just couldn't leave well enough alone.
I sure wonder who took the still shot or video; and why? And I wonder this great student of the game liked to study them? Do you think he utilized a swing coach or preferred to work out his own kinks? Just wondering.
Oh by the way, nice picture Dave.

G.N.

I don't see that, it looks like the clubface is pointing at the sky. As for the wrist, I dont see the cup either, it looks like there is a straight line from his forearm to his hand. Maybe I am blind...still is a pretty cool pic though.

nice pic!. I wish there was a rearview pic to go with it!. His hands dont appear to be all that high (Fairly flat swing). That makes me feel a bit better about my swing!.

Chris.
