Dileima (spelt wrongly)

Hi folks;

Recently bought an Odyssey XG7, otherwise known as "the Fang"

I only got it through the post this morning, so bar a few practice green putts (which I did v.well with) I ain't got to use it, as yet. Have a big match tomorrow, so will be able to put it through its paces.

Thing is, I am basically a good putter. It doesn't really matter what I use because I will always hole good putts. It does however help if you are happy with what is in your hands on the green.

I owe my mate £160 as I sold his clubs on Ebay for him. He wants my Odessey 2-ball off me. If ending up buying it he would wish for it to be cut from its present 35" to a rather short 32".

I have had this putter for a long, long time. It has been a very good friend to me (well, in most cases, anyway ! )

Question is: Should I sell for 60 quid and therefore owe him less money, or should I keep it and revert back to it if needs be, etc. Sometimes clubs are worth more than money if they work for you, but is there much point of having two putters ?!??

I need as much cash as poss. for going to New York on vacation, but at the same time I don't want to sell something that I once loved....and will always love, to be absolutely truthful about things.

All opinions gratefully received,
A.

The 2 ball is a great fall back putter for when you eventually have a crisis on the greens..................so I say keep it

I've never owned a 2-ball,but every time I blag one for a dem on a green my stroke instantly drops into a smooth groove,I think that's why its so popular matey,its a great putter to build a stroke with.I just won't be parted with my beloved Anser

For the sake of 60 quid I'd keep her.

I'd keep it until the other has completely proven itself better over time.

Surely you don't want to rue the day that you regret having parted with it? Keep it.

I had the new 'un out today and putted terribly ! Was 3-over front nine with 3 3-putts and a couple of short 'uns missed, too, so should really have been under par. 2-balls are the way forward, guys. Might perserve with 'Fangy' for a bit, but it looks as if it will be going onto ebay once again. . . . . . . .
