I agree with the camrea idea. I tell people not to buy me clubs, I'd rather go pick stuff out myself, it'd be crappy to be some equipment that I had tried and hated or didnt suit me, even though the intenions were good. Though my gf told me to give her a list of all the new clubs i wanna get in the next couple years . I'm thinking getting me some new stuff for grad.

Digi cam is good. Make sure it can take some video clips, very useful to record your swing

I've always been a fan of Nikon. The Coolpix line is a great buy. They're decently priced too, great lenses, and they take outstanding pics.

I have a Panasonic digital camera, and the only reason I bought it was because it has a Leica lens. It takes great pics for what I need a camera for, and it was dirt cheap on the 'Bay....

I picked up a Fuji F610 6.3mp on Boxing Day for a pretty good deal and I'm really happy with it. Great quality photos (almost all the ones I've posted have been from that camera) and I haven't even really bothered delving into what it CAN do.

The movie mode is good on it too (30fps - unlimited length - all with audio).

i dunno guys, i just took a trip to my local wholsaler, (sams club) and they had some great golf stuff there, they had my burner 420 or the original nike forged driver for 100 each, or nike carry bags for 100, has anyone tried the nike driver before i really like my burner, kinda silly but a back up one might not be too bad of an idea

Never heard of anyone needing a back up driver. I'd say stick with your burner since you really like it. Equipment isn't going to give you anything but a confidence boost.

If it were me, I'd ask for a gift certificate to a course, short-game lessons, or new shoes ( I need new shoes).

i really like my burner, true, but i feel with recent swing changes the really low ball flight i'm getting isn't going to fit my game, i'm thinking something that gives me a higher ball flight, not a towering thing, but just the nice mid/high trajectory, b/c at my home course, there are several holes where there is a tee shot that you need to go up a hill to reach the fairway and i can never hit driver because i would just bash one right into the hill and the ball would go nowhere, i hit three wood on these holes but find myeslf very far back and struggle to make par

this isn't club hoedness (yeah, check websters i dare you) this is finding the best driver for my game, it may be the one i have now, i don't know, it is very solid, but i think my game requires something that gives me a higher ballflight,

thats it

hoing would DEFINITELY encompass buying the same driver that you already have "as a backup"

(see your earlier post)

For $200, you can get a lot of old 70-80's porn on VHS. Of course, if it's the fam who's buying it for you, you might just stick with the camera.
