I made my first trip down to Florida this past summer and my brother-in-law took me to play the
South Winds Golf Course and it was a beautiful course. We played on the morning of 4th July and it was just $24 including cart, which was something of a shock to me after a year of playing here in Jersey!
I thought the course was beautifully landscaped and maintained, and on first inspection doesn't look that difficult (certainly the bunkers could mostly be chipped out of rather than blasted from). HOWEVER, the sting in the tail of this course is that
16 out of the 18 holes feature a water hazard! My game wasn't at its best that day, and I certainly lost a few in their various creeks and lakes!
Certainly a fun course to consider that sets a challenge with all that water that I doubt many courses can match.
