Grip rites = gud range session.

Today my new Titty 690 cb's turned up. They have golf pride v-55 swing rite grips fitted. Whilst at the range I noticed that I was gripping to far up the club, right at the butt end not a mil to spare at the top. I had an inch of the swing rite markings showing below my right hand. I shuffled down to the correct markings on the grip, it felt like I was holding the club half way down? I then proceeded to hit balls and to my suprise WOW best ball striking session I've had for a LONG time and no loss of distance just ball after ball long and felt great too.

It's amazing how something that little made such a big diffrence to my ball striking. I've tried big swing changes trying to eliminate my over swing, slowing my tempo etc. All i needed to do was move my grip down the shaft an inch, your always learning with this game?

So what do you think of the 690s?
What have you had by way of comparison?

I have only had one range session with them. Inital thoughts, nice look at address, superb feel, I'll wait till I've played a little more with them before I get carried away. That said I think I might have actually found a set of irons that I WANT to keep and upgrade the shafts.

I've had Ta2's, Ta3's, Mp30's, MacGregor 1025 VIP tourneys, Nike pro combo's, the list goes on. The best irons I've had so far where the Mp30's. Only problem I found with them is they were about 10 yards shorter than the VIP's with the long irons.(might be because the VIP's had rifle flighted shafts)?
