I write and eat left-handed but do most every thing else right-handed or ambidextrous. Golf, however, was invented by... designed for... completely intended to be played right-handed. Can anyone name a left-hander on the LPGA? As far as the PGA... there are three who come to mind. Michelson only plays golf from the left side. PM writes, eats, does everything except play this game from the other side. No Philly Mick slam??? Wait till next year. Rumor has it, that's why he took off the last 6 months of the season. Secretly, PM has been converting to becoming a righty. He'll come back next season and win the Grand Slam from the right side. PM will be the first professional to win Masters from both sides of the ball. Mike Weir?? Canadian. What do you expect? Aren't most of those foreigners up there a little "different"? I mean, with a 3 week golf season each year, can you actually expect them to get everything correct? And, who's the newbie on tour this year that plays from the wrong side? J.B. Holmes? Isn't he a lefty? Rookie mistake.

You who are making a valiant attempt to play this game from the left side are fighting a losing battle! There aren't "backwards" demos in the fitting carts. Mats at the rang all have the rubber tees on the wrong side. Your slice is my hook. Your power fade is my nice sweet draw. Yet, my slice is your hard hook... are we confused yet? You're backwards!!! Did you get the weight to shift through the stroke to your left side? Woops! If you did, it's a reverse pivot. Man... no wonder it's a struggle for you guys!

When my confusion is so profound, you who actually play from the incorrect side of the ball must really be whacked! I will be circulating a petition to the USGA which will be adding left-handed golfers to the non-conforming list. This will be, actually, doing you all a favor. You are welcome to continue to play from the now non-conforming side in recreational rounds. But, for handicap purposes and for tourneys, the USGA will insist you play the game as intended... from the RIGHT side!!!!

Lefty here! I don't post much but I visit daily.

I do everything left-handed. I tried hitting right-handed once, my 12 year old took his club back immediately.

My seven year old is a left handed person but plays righty. i bought him a us kids golf 9 iron in lefty and he kept trying to hit it righty so i took him to edwin watts and we tried out rightys and that is the way he wanted to hit. picked him up a whole set of rightys and he has been fine ever since.

Hey there Cog Hill ! your user name reminded me of all the good courses I use to play when I lived in addison and wheaton!! welcome. Is that little nine hole course still in addison?

I'm left-handed in most things, but play golf right-handed. I also play the guitar right-handed, and shoot rifles right-handed (but pistols left-handed).

I think it's eye-dominance that makes more of a difference. I'm right-eye dominant, like most people. So I can't shoot a rifle left-handed, nor can I line up a putt very well from the left side. For some reason, having my dominant eye lower seems better.

Anything I swing or shoot, I do right handed. Play guitar and drums right handed. Pretty much everything else is left handed. My dad is the exact opposite. Anything he swings or shoots is left handed, otherwise, all right handed.

When I was in highschool, I broke my left wrist. Had to take the SAT test (the first time) with my right hand. WHAT A MESS! Definitely had to take it a second time.

I do everything left handed except play golf. When I first picked up a club it was right handed so that's how I learned.

I tried playing lefty a few years ago but it was a disastor. Or maybe I should say more of a disastor than the way I play right handed.

Hey Doug sad to say the liitle par 3 will go to the doser and Big $$$ houses this spring.
But the good old Links& tee's remodeled the 3 hole into a cute 9 holer and put up a Dome. (live in Addison too)

After a six year lay off I'm back to the game this fall and still hooked
