Are there any required dues for the club ho association? - Shot Talk

I got back into the game in August and since then I'm on my 3rd set of irons, if you don't count the clubs I had before I started golfing again, and just for grins I'm starting to think about getting a fourth. I'm also on my 3rd driver. I've only bought one putter and I think I'll stick with it for a while. The only thing I don't like about it is I can't pick the ball up with it, but that's kinda splitting hairs.

So is there an anonymous group for this affliction or is that kind of what Shot Talk is here for? LOL.

Yes, you have to put the contents of your bag in your signature and change something at least once a week.

ST is a support group unlike most, we support each other in being a ho. The only due is that you let us have first dibs on any hoed items! Welcome.

Sure is. I always offer anything I have (that he might be interested in) to Rock 1st. Us ho's always PM each other when we see a steal on Ebay or wherever on a club the other would like.

The ONLY REASON membership is free is because the 'hos have spent all their money on clubs and can't afford any type of inititation. That would preclude them from bidding up the price on some gargantuan driver with the plutonium shaft.

These guys are pullin' your leg! They are simply attempting to keep you from abiding by the rules to gain full membership. Dues include one new set of Ping S58's, blue dot, DGS shafts, 1/4" long. I'm the official treasurer and will be PM'ing you the address where to send the clubs. Congrats. Just as soon as I receive the clubs, you will be officially welcomed!!! LOL

For 15 years, I had to have the newest and best. There was not a year went by that I did not have at least 6 sets of irons and usually that many drivers. Most of that time was before ebay and other internet sites. It took tremedous work and commitment to daily visit shop after shop after shop to be the first to get the newest thing in the door! At the beginning of this season, I sold my 690's... I sold my MP32's... The old Eye 2+'s went in the bag and stayed there all season. I am playing the best golf I have in at least 10 years! I finally have an intimate relationship with a set of clubs, knowing their strengths and weaknesses and playing to those. But...

Don't EVER believe that is the answer for you! I depend far too much on those of you still livin' the life of a club ho'. I still long to hear the experiences you have with each new transgression. Your addiction keeps me stoked! Keep ho'ing!

(The irons stayed in the bag the entire year. But, Father, I am not without sin. Two drivers, a different set of fairways, half a dozen putters.... Once a ho', you can go straight no mo'.)

Yes, eventually you find a "pure gamer" and this club or clubs will never leave the bag. I found my irons last spring. My greatest hoing score of all time. The Miura's are only for sale if the price is enough to buy an exact set in better condition. I may try different putters, but the KC2 is the one I must have in play on the course.

i started with the Wilson fatshaft irons, then went to the r7 irons, and not long after to the mizuno mx-23's, also swapped a wilson driver with the r7 draw

this within a few months of starting up
