Changing to Cross Handed Grip

I'm thinking of changing to a cross handed grip, now that I've got a bit of time this winter to practice.
Has anyone changed from a regular to a cross handed or does anyone putt cross handed ?
If you've got any advice,I'd appreciate it !

Changing just your grip to Cack handed for all shots or just putting?

If it's for putting if it feels good give it a try, it levels the sholders out. I heard that it's the one thing Jack said he would do if he could go back and have his time again. I've tried it but it's not for me.

I tried it, briefly and for the life of me couldnt get the feel for it or make any putts. I like to feel the putter in my fingers and feel the ball come off the face, and with that grip i just couldnt. Of course putting is so subjective that it may be totally different for you.

Putting used to be a significant weakness in a game mostly without strengths for me. I switched to cross handed putting for about 3 or 4 months and it really helped me. It takes the wrists out of the stroke and stops your right hand from overpowering the stroke and trying to guide the ball. It gave me heaps of confidence, and though I've since switched back to a more conventional grip, I thoroughly recommend trying it to anyone having trouble with their putting.

Josh Broadway plays cross-handed grip on all his shots, driver and irons included.
BTW, he's on the Nationwide Tour.

Regular reverse overlap for many years. They talk about yips, which I don't completely understand. I just know it got to the point where I was so disgusted with my putting... Every time I tried to change to left-hand-low, I seemed to have distance control issues. Back and forth... back and forth... Finally, I have putted this entire season LHL. Had what was probably the best season ever on the greens. (Everything else seemed to fall apart!!!!) The putter even feels strange, now, if I even think about going back to a traditional grip. LHL has worked for me, but it took patience and persistence. For most, this is not something that is going to work the first time you attempt it. The wrist remain more stable with LHL. It is easier to "stay down" through the stroke with LHL.

Generate a plan. Give yourself a specific minimum number of rounds in which you will use the LHL grip. In the meantime, try to find some of Pelz' articles. He is a proponent of LHL. Pelz offers some excellent justification for using that approach to putting.

Good luck!!!!!!

I changed to a LHL grip five rounds ago. It took me three rounds to start feeling comfortable with it, but I was putting better right from the start. I find that if I focus on follow-through, a lot of other things seem to take care of themselves. It is much more a shoulder stroke, which doesn't seem to generate as much power, but is more consistent.

So far, I'm sticking with the LHL.
