This sucks!!!
My dad and I had a long tradition of playing golf on christmas day. My wife never liked it but nothing she could do about it since it was a long standing tradition (since I was a little kid). Well my dad died years ago and cant use the excuse to go out and play on christmas day anymore so my brother in law are going to play two different disney courses today and tomorrow. Christmas day is the best day to play golf since it is so easy to get out and you can usually have a quick round and out in Califronia there is no such thing as a quick round.

None of the courses here will be open Christmas day (at least I haven't found any). So I plan on playing today and Christmas eve. Thankfully, the rain stopped during the night.

ever thought about running onto the 12th at Augusta and playing it on xmas day? They won't have any staff on will they?

The course at the club that I joined not too long ago is never "closed" for members. I can go out there and play even when there is no staff there. I have a Sun Mountain speed cart and we can golf anytime we want to. There will just not be riders since the pro shop and grill etc. will be closed.

Birchwood CC in Nashville, NC, ten minutes from my house.

Rocky Mount is in the eastern part of the state about 1 hour east of Raleigh.

A LONG way from Hendersonville! Shot a state indoor archery tournament in Winston Salem and had a sister-in-law in Salisbury but never ventured much farther east then that.

Our local courses usually leave the gates open for whoever wants to play, free, and usually few out there.

Sadly there's still about 5 inches of snow sitting on it.

Staff is ALWAYS there, plus a 12 foot fence, armed guards, and attack dogs. Other than that, piece of cake.
