To improve my driving. I have become a little bit crooked with the driver here lately and it has started putting pressure on the rest of my game. I can play relatively stress free golf from the fairway since I am very good with my wedges and putter.
To continue to improve my short even more. Getting up and down keeps my score low.
To also play in more tournaments. I used to play a 15 event amateur "tour" from March - October each year but haven't done so the last couple of years. I believe I am going to resume playing it this year. It really helped me take my game to a whole new level because the competition was pretty tough in my flight.

Fades, fades, fades. I'm getting it dialed in, time to go for many more GIR. I've got the grip a lot better now, need to start hitting fairways and greens. Bunker play has plagued me. I plan to spend so much time in the bunkers over the winter I'll go from struggling to get out to "I think I can hole this".
I'd like to work on my turn and shift also. No sliding into the ball.

More swing consistency and to get razor sharp with my wedge game. My stats goal are to average 10 GIR per round and 30PPR average. If I can do this I'll be happy come this time next year.

Hinge and hold...
For some reason this is something I just struggle with. All the other "adjustments" I'm able to incorporate after just a couple swings but not this one. For the life of me I can't stop releasing my wrist hinge early.
For '07 the plan is to finally make this last adjustment and then watch the scores come down. My goal is to drop 7 strokes next year and get down to a 10!

I just want more consistency. Shot, and scoring wise. I'd like to have a predictable golf game but that will probably never happen.
I'm working towards a 3 handicap by September.
And I want to play more tournaments. With at least one win.![]()

Just to get my swing going. My goal is by golf season [ starts in march ] that I will be hitting at least 13 greens a round on average, and hopefully by summer up to about 15 or 16 [ on the easy courses ]. Also to have my new chipping motion [ went from more of a pelz to more of a stan utley/1ps chipping motion ] grooved in. I had probably the worst ball striking year I've ever had this last year since I started playing in 8th grade, so I'm hoping I'll be able to come out and play better this year.
I'd say score wise, I'm hoping to average in the 71-74 range for 18 holes during golf season, and maybe lower than that in the summer tournaments. Hopefully I can get my goals done or exceed them!

19 handicap ----> 5 ? That would be some sort of record, surely !?
I am off 3 at present. Have the capabilities to play off Scratch as hit some amazing shots as times, plus two of the best players ever to come out of my golf club have told me I could and should get down, on more than one occasion, too.
My aims for this year are to get a job that enables me to get a game of golf mid morning on a Saturday, or so. I would like to get down to 1 or 2; would be pretty hard to get from 3 to Scr. in one summer.
I am, however, thinking of heading to the States to teach Junior Golf for the months of June, July & August. Have all the credentials required to do such a thing. Just need to stop my current job before heading off, then return to a new one. Would be pretty cool, I reckon.
has anyone here ever participated in such a thing....?
"Golf takes us away from our everyday worries. It allows us to lose ourselves in the beauty of our natural surroundings. And it provides a serene setting for enjoying the camaraderie of our fellow players.
No matter how good we get at it, golf always makes us strive to do better. In golf, as in life, there is no perfection, but we can always seek it. Golf constantly challenges us to aim farther, try harder, and be more than we are today. And really, what game could be better than that...?"
I need to get my short game in line with everything else; my driver and iron play are usually pretty decent. I have trouble off of all the bare (or extremely tight) lies I get at my course. I do fine with a little grass under the ball, but put me on a bare lie and I never know what's going to happen. I want to get my 5 down to a 2 or 3 this year.

My main focus it putting and wedges. I haven't been playing long and am usually in the low 100's. I feel fairly confident that I can be in the mid 80's by improving this part of my game alone. Once that pans out I'll work on my driver and my irons.
That and to ho as many clubs as possible.![]()
