Supermatch!!! IG vs Slingblade.....place your bets!!!

The game is being played at Yale on the 13th.

Any bets?

Sling has the new forged beauties and the new bag (please see BD's post on how the bag makes your game).

IG has some crap knock offs. And he's using that damned Titleist driver!.

I'm taking Sling, 3 and 4.

depends on the strokes.

I still will never trust teh master. He lost and never came clean with you. He should at least give you the monetary equivalent(?) of the turkey...

Sling is an honest man though...

Shots will be forthcoming. What's your index Sling? We can play straight up match play, Ryder Cup style. (Oil bi Padraig, fir fook sake!!)

All betting collateral will need to be put on the table in advance (I play for whiskey, poultry, cigars and food.) LBC Golf and I played for lunch. Man that was one nice Mexican dinna!

Of course a full match summary and photos will be posted here on the board.

Looking forward to it!!

IG v. Sling. Hmm. If I recall, Sling's gonna need some strokes. Somebody lay down the handicaps so we can see what we're betting on.

We need pictures, and lots of em. I would have to say this one should be played straight up. IG definitely has the swing and the playa game, but then there's sling's new bag. Sling, is it Snake-Eyes emblazened? Does it have your name in Calligraphy? Does it have at least have 10 or 15 tags on it? From swanky courses you've never played? If none of the above, then sling should get strokes. And if none of the above, this is the plan sling...

Give him the whiskey before the match. Introduce him to some good ol' US George Dickel rotgut sourmash. By the 2nd hole he'll be losing his balance. By 4 he'll be slurring and talking all Padraig nasaly. By 6, he'll be staring at his (suddenly loud and rolling) belly. By 7 his swing will have left him, as you can't really swing well with the remnants of an involuntary, mid-swing, shitesplosion caking your legs. He'll finish the match penguin-walking 18 in his rain slickers and on the hook to buy you lunch. Your clubhouse does have outdoor tables right?

Sounds like you've played with me before. That's about my normal pre-match preparation, I don't need Sling for that.

btw I normally last about 5 holes before losing my balance. I've such a honed swing though, it just gets me fired up. Me and John Daly, we can handle it, and actually expect it.

As for the pebble dashing, if it comes, it is being directed at Sling's new equipment. We'll see how good it holds up in those conditions.

Officially my index is 5. Add the whiskey and it becomes 2(5).

I always hate to admit this in public but if I'm to have any chance at all, my index is 28.

I'll play match play for booze. Irish Whiskey v. Kentucky Bourbon

Does this mean sling is so intimidating that IG just up and quits on 14? Or that they've had so much to drink they've lost count?

I once played a one armed blind midget who got 23 shots.

Seriously that's way too many shots, especially since we are now playing for booze. With those new weapons and that new bag, it sounds like some ludicrous sandbagging going on. Why even if you didn't turn up, those new clubs look like they could play by themselves and still shoot 90.

I reckon even a shot a hole is being over generous. That's all I give my wife when we play. You saying you need more shots than a woman Sling?

I'll need to see an official handicap certificate, witnessed by a priest or a judge. I'm also going to be testing those new clubs to make sure that they conform.

Has anyone noticed that since his unfortunate betting dealings with TM, IG has gotten somewhat defensive on that front? I guess this isn't a reflection on IG, just a sad instance of seeing a noble personality damaged by a turkey and a 16 year old. Oh, the tragedy.

Sling, take 9 strokes and pump him full of Mad Dog 20/20.
