Ladies and Gentlemen,

In honor of our most prolific poster on Shottalk, I am posting a poll that allows you to guess what Rockford35's post total will be on Jan 1, 2008 at 1201 AM local Eastern Standard time (1101 PM Central Dec 31, 1001 PM Mountain Dec 31, 0901 PM Pacific Dec 31, 0501 Zulu Jan 1, 0501 AM GMT Jan 1).

No prizes unfortunately, but just some new years fun.

I chose 13,415 based purely on the math. (which is why I included in the poll

) There are theories that may increase or decrease the post count such as the number of rain days which would put Rock at the computer more or less often, the marriage thing which could severely drive the number of daily posts in one direction or the other, Rock's employer setting up fire wall that blocks access to Shottalk, Rock quits work and joins the Canadian Tour, and the list of unknown factors just goes on and on.

I'm with Eracer, with marriage the "PPD" should drop. Not that this should deter you from sealing the deal Rock!

I doubt that will hamper me. I need an escape, right?

I'm being optimistic with my guess of 14,500.

I'll do my best to get to 15,000.

I say 13000 based on the fact he posts pretty well the same pace as I do. I've gone just over 3000 in nearly a year. On another note, why would marriage decrease posts? I moved in with my GF and spend more time on here. Sure beats having to like talk to them and $hit.

If you keep your posting rate up, you should pass Rock in about 1,166 days. If my numbers are correct, that would be around March 11, 2010 (got one leap year in there.)

Of course, if Rock picks up his pace as he himself forecasted, it could be a bit longer.

Thats what I was thinking. Hard to judge, though, you never know how the spousal unit will react after chain had been attached.
