I wonder if his kid will be a golfer as well? Look out father son/daughter competion in ten years.

$20.00 says if he has a boy that he names him Earl after his father.

I personally love the fact that so many people are pissed that he's missing the start of this STUPID FedEx Cup series that Fichem and the rest of the Television ratings goons thought up.

Big effing deal. Without guys like Tiger, Phil, Ernie, ect, the PGA would be garbage.

Anyone that points fingers at these guys fof picking and choosing what tournaments to play are idiots.

Well the television ratings dip when he does not play and the golf channel is now hosting thursday and fridays rounds so they want ratings right off the bat. Tiger is his own person and if he doesnt want to play then the rest of the field should be happy because at 35% win ratio that means he will give others the chance to win. I bet stuart applebee is happy, maybe four in a row for him. Besides with the baby on the way he has a good excuse to miss some tournaments if he wants too, that and he is the most powerful person in golf and I am sure the PGA Tour kisses his a$$ as much as possible to make him happy.

I think another reason Tiger is bowing out is because the windy conditions of kapalua favor Appleby, and Tiger feels that Appleby might break his PGA victory streak, although Tiger will never touch Nelson's record.

Not to dog Lord Byron but he set that record during WWII era and there were not very many tour players at that time.

Your chances of winning regardless of who is playing is greater when the field is minimized, this is just simple math. Besides given the current era I would bet that the players today would dominate over the older legends even with the older clubs. No way to prove this, just my opinion.

TCG,

I wasn't directing my ire at you. Just at all the jerk column guys that knock players for not attending fringe events.

If Tiger shows up to 4 events and wins 2, and they're both majors, that's gold in my eyes.

Tiger is becoming more of a slacker each year. His work ethic is still pretty solid, but if hes hardly going to play, he might as well just not play at all. I hope he doesen't win the Fedex Cup, maybe that will motivate him to play a normal amount of events the next season.

I highly doubt Tiger's child will be a professional golfer, much less a good golfer. Tiger has a work ethic that only few can rival, in part due to the situation he grew up in, being a minority child in a low-income family. On the other hand his kid will have to work for nothing, he has all the cash he needs the rest of his life. His kid will be too busy playing PS3 to spend hours on the range beating balls.

That is b*lls, imo.

Congratulations and all the best, Tiger and sexy thing.
