He is just the coolest kid. I saw him at the US Open this year. I was weird seeing him tee off, being so small, but he cracked on dead straight about 290! Just awesome, he was grinning the whole time. Of course, so would I if I were 15 and playing a major.

This is just so cool. I'm 5'6" and it gives me hope for my game. Anyone know what's in his bag?

He is only 5'1" and if he is playing a 45" driver that means he is only 16" taller than his driver.

I was kind of surprised to see him wearing the Callways hat to tell you the truth. Usually Amateurs do not wear coorporate gear as they are not suppose to be receiving money or free services to retain their amateur status. I am pretty sure his family has to be paying for all that stuff otherwise his amateur status would go out the window. Which, by the way, he may want to consider doing anyway if he stays top 10. A lot of cha-ching for a top 10 finish.

Question: As an Amateur, does he collect Fed Ex cup points?

On TGC Faldo and the babe were interviewing him and Faldo said he already has the "game" to play on the PGA tour.

Found this which explains how an amateur can except equipment...
6-2/3.5 Issue of Free Equipment to Amateur Golfers - Policy

Q. Is it permissible for a player of golf skill or golf reputation to accept free equipment?
A. Yes. An amateur golfer of golf skill or golf reputation may accept golf balls, clubs, merchandise, clothing or shoes free of charge or at a discounted rate from a manufacturer, provided no advertising is involved (Note to Rule 6-2).
With regard to golf bags, it is permissible for the bag to bear the name of the manufacturer in large letters, but if it does, the player must not also arrange for his own name to appear on the bag in large letters. if he does, he may be deemed to be advertising the merchandise of that manufacturer and will be liable to forfeit his amateur status. The same applies to bag covers and other luggage.
If an amateur golfer purchases the golf bag himself and, in addition to the name of the manufacturer in large letters, puts his own name in large letters, there would be no breach of the Rule provided that player does not have golf skill or golf reputation.
Amateur golfers of golf skill or reputation are warned that they must, on no account, sell golf balls or other equipment received free of charge or at a discount from manufacturers; if they do, they will be liable to forfeit amatuer status for a breach of the Definition of an Amateur Golfer.

Would not "Callaway" and "FT-5" be considered advertisements on the hat since its being viewed on national TV? (well, OK, the Golf Channel, but you get the drift.)
