I heard about that new commercial the other day. It would have been cooler if Tiger rolled the guy over and proceeded to pummel him with punches.

From what I read, it was a staged shoot and Tiger wasn't supposed to tackle him...just stand and watch. He decided to have a little fun...

Tiger talked about it on GolfCentral last night. He had an idea to go after the guy and ran it by the director; they were the only two that new what was coming. The poor tackle dummy was just told that "there might be some contact..."

Haha, that's gold. So nice to see Tiger showing even more character, having some fun.

I admire that guy so much.

I agree - really amazing player and person. I just got back from seeing Tiger and the gang live at Torrey Pines. It is unbelieveable how fast his swing is. If you ever get the chance to see him in person do it!

Let's say that his clubs were indeed stolen somehow.

How long do you think it would take to get them replaced?

Think about it...special shafts for driver and fairway woods. Probably has some of his irons custom bent 1 degree additional loft or less.

If he was getting ready to tee off in a tournament the following day, he'd have to have a tour van equipment guy stay up all night to get his stuff just the way he likes it with all of the fine tuning and tweaking...

It's my understanding that all the pros have an exact replica set of clubs stored before each tournament for this very reason. If stolen, they just have to have the 2nd set shipped.

I'm willing to bet that the Nike tour van has at least one, exactly spec'd, back-up set for Tiger on hands at all times.

Good point and I could easily see this as being true...
