Nice finish. I was rooting for him. I thought for sure he was screwed when the ball went way left on #2 hole. Now that's a custom grind job. I'd do it with a wedge, not my PW though. lol. That'll put him into the Masters now, right?

The win should keep him in the top 40 in world points and/or the top 15 on the PGA money list through the end of March when the Masters field is locked in. No more free invites for tournament wins anymore unless its a major if I recall correctly.

As a 2007 Tour winner it still should help, and with the points he gets, plus his position on the money list, he'll definitely be in the Masters. I was rooting for him also........gets to play his dream tournament. Phil played well, CHIII just played better. It wasn't handed to him.

I agree I think it is great that CHIII turned the corner, but I am still disappointed that Phil didn't win, us lefties have to stick together you know.
Charles deserved the win, I can't wait to see him in Augusta. I read that the new chairman of Augusta National is thinking of bringing back the winners invites.

I'll agree that it wasn't "handed" to CH but Mickelson blew it again by letting a playoff happen. I didn't think, I knew it was over when Phil hit the green on #17 with the 4W... WTF happened? How do lose when you are tied, Howell is done and you are on in 2 on a par 5 with 1 hole to go?

You cannot deny he choked big time in regulation on the 18th.

As much as I wanted CHIII to win it and it not be a case of "Phil blew it again", that is what happened. It was Phil's to win, and like ezra said he choked.

I am very glad CHIII got the win. He seems like an all around great guy.
