I can't wait for the 2007 PGA !!!

Why, you ask?

Golf Digest reports that David Feherty will be getting a ride in an F-16 before the tournament, and the pilot was quoted as saying that he would show Feherty the course from a "different point of view - upside down". Can't wait for Feherty's spin on that ride!

The lucky Bastid!

This year's tourney is going to be held in Tulsa at Southern Hills. The Tulsa Police Department is a client of my company.

One of their high ranking officers is in charge of security at the tournament and he will have a lot of officers working for him. He is a friend of mine.

He and all of the officers are not there in an 'official law enforcement' capacity, but are essentially acting as 'private security guards'. The PGA of America is paying him on a consulting basis to provide security and he is paying the off-duty officers for their time on the premises while they are providing security services. He is taking vacation time to run the security. He also provided security for the US Open when it was held there several years ago. He told me the people at the USGA are complete asses compared to the PGA of America executives - who are reasonable to deal with.

It's a pretty cool deal; he's asked me to come. If I went, I could get behind the ropes everywhere with a pass from him. Locker room, practice tee etc. Too bad I can't pry away.

Maybe I need to take an Official Business Trip to see my client there and slip over to the tournament for a couple of days....

What he said...

I passed up a rare opportunity once, and I've regretted it ever since.

I had an invite to the VIP section (3 miles away) for a nightime shuttle launch. I gave a friend the pass because at the time I felt it was not right for me to call in sick for work (I was working night shift at the time).

My friend came back, shook his head and said exactly three words:

"You're an idiot..."

All access to the PGA? You gotta' go...

How about Tiger as he comes out of the toilet after taking a dump? I could sell it to the National Enquirer and make a ton!!!

Forget the golf. I'd become a card carrying member of the Paparazzi!!

The lucky Bastid!

His column that month will consist largely of descriptions of the various types of vomitus he spewed forth.

I had a flight in an A-4 once. I loved it, but man, that was a tight fit, and at the time I was 5'7", 155 pounds. Not a place for a claustrophobic person.

If I came into any kind of real money, I would spend the $13K for a ride in a Russian MIG-29. Always been a dream of mine to go up in a high-performance jet fighter.

Fly Legendary Jets MiG and Sukhoi Fighters in Russia. Tour Packages and Prices.
