| Snedeker is a great sport He was well in contention on the last day of the Australian Open and was moving a leaf from his lie in the rough on the 14th, when he saw his ball move and he immediately took a penalty even though nobody else would have seen anything. He went on to fall one short of eventual winner Craig Parry.
It was great to see such a display of honesty and integrity from Snedeker. At the time he was in contention and it ultimately cost him a championship, but the way he handled himself during the disaster and for the rest of his round showed he's got a lot of heart, and will be a champion of the future. |
