Talking The Fist Pump

I've noticed on the Champions Tour, and also alot of the Celebrities at Pebble Beach are mimicking Tiger's "fist pump" when they make a putt. I don't think the Seniors are doing it in a complimentary way...........LOL.

I fist pumped the other day, after making a huge birdie putt on 8 that won my teammate and I our bestball match (9hole match).

haha, actually mine's more like a DiMarco fist pump, but the same general idea.

Golf has always been an emotional game, it is just following with the times now, more signs of celebration. Seve was known for his animated celebrations. I recall Jack throwing his putter about fifteen feet in the air after winning a US Open. Chi Chi and his famous fencing putter routine is another classic. I'm just glad that we haven't gotten to the NFL/NBA level of celebration.

I dont think we'll ever have to worry about that tmag, as much as emotion does get into golf, it wont ever get to the point where Tiger runs over to the gallery and grabs a bag of popcorn and throws it into his face yelling.

It's not Tiger I am concerned with. It's some of the younger players that haven't gotten to the PGA Tour yet.

Seve's fist pumps were much more intense than Tigers. And what about Hale Irwins victory lap around the 18th high fiving the crowd at the US Open. Great stuff.

I dont like Tigers fist pump.
Its not like the first time he ever made a 30 foot putt, or the first time he ever won anything.

He routinely makes incredible shots, so act like you've been there before.

I could understand Rory, or Sergio fist pumping. They have so little to celebrate to begin with.

shoot, I'm at the point that any straight shot that's close to the intended target gets a fist pump...
