Uh-Oh. He is probably going to regret this.

ESPN - Isenhour charged with killing noisy bird during video shoot - Golf

Depending on how astute his PR man is, Tripp Isenhour may be in some deep doo-doo.

That bird deserved it if he got as close to hitting him as they say that he did a few shots earlier and didnt move. Dont start chrging me with cruelty to animals for saying that now, but if the bird is not smart enough to move than he deserves it.

I almost agree, i mean I dont want to kill a hawk, but I would love to maybe hit it without any serious damage to make it GTF away.

I hope the State of Florida gives him probation, and fines him $1500. And I hope the PGA fines him about $50,000, for conduct unbecoming a professional golfer.

Hawks are protected wildlife. They aren't crows, or other birds deemed pests. And anyway, anyone who kills animals - any animals - purely as a joke is, in my opinion, a spineless cretin. Disgusting.

This comment on the site had me rofl'ing

"How many people can actually say that they have never aimed at a bird or something like that when they are playing golf? I do it all the time. Our group has a rule that if you hit a bird, no matter what show you are on, you get an instant "Birdie" for the hole. Never had a chance at an "Eagle" in this situation though. If a group of geese are by the bunker, you're darn right I'm aiming at them before they fly away. Granted, I'm not actually good enough to hit them being a 15 handicap, but the sentiment is there."

Tiger would have gotten it, on the first shot.

Right on Eracer. Throw this lowlife scums sorry ass in jail I say. What he did was a cowardly and sadistic act against a defenceless, innocent animal.

The evidence certainly from witnesses seems to conradict his defence that he wasn't trying to hit it. And I hope the sentencing judge sees straight through his pathetic attempt at remorse too. "I'm an animal lover". give me a break!

The fact that he was hitting shot after shot at the animal is prrof enough that his intentions were to harm the bird.

Either make him spend a few weeks in the big house or throw a few hundred hours of community service his way. That will teach him...Fecking idiot.

The moral issue aside for a moment.....

What was wrong with the bird? Was it sick?
Hawks have exceptional eyesight, right? Surely it saw the balls whizzing by and yet it remained where it was?

I'm not blaming the bird but it seems a bit odd.

Since he is larger than the hawk, instead of 40 yards, I'd love to give him 100 yards and spray some golf balls with my 2 iron to see if he is smart enough to dodge the gold balls coming at him.

It's pretty sad that he'd deny that he was trying to harm the bird when he was a pro. I don't see him getting out of this. PETA is gonna be so excited about this.
