Maybe I'm not reading it right, but to me, the rule states:

If you hit out of one hazard, and your ball ends up in another, then you may "test the condition" of the hazard you hit from, without penalty.

Who reads it differently?

That is the correct ruling. Eracer, he was not technically IN the hazard. The ball was at rest outside of the hazard. So him taking his stance in it and then raking it is considered "testing" the hazard.

2 stroke penalty.

Ah so, Master. That is the part I was ignoring. I say ignoring, because it's already been said something like twenty times in this thread....

Haha, basically. I read that over and over in the WRX thread and they kept missing that fact too.

HIS BALL WAS NOT IN THE HAZARD, that is all that matters here. 2 shot penalty for raking up and being a nice person.

DQ for not acknowledging his 2stroke penalty that he, nor anyone else around knew of.

Him and ZJ were discussing "weird penalties" and Johnson mentioned something to the effect of that scenario that Cink was in, he said "hmm, i had a shot like that yesterday", he flaged slugger and asked him about it...

Oh, well Stu, sry man, your DQ'd, thanks for being honest.

He could have never mentioned it and NOONE would have ever known.
