Charley Hoffman Putting at the Players #13

Did anyone else see the fine putting display Charley performed on the par 3 13th hole at the Players? If, he had just took a little more time to putt the ball, he might of made his second putt. His finish of that hole is priceless. Wonder how many spectators were waiting for the rounds to end so they could fish his putter out of the water?

If you missed it here is a link to the video of it.

I think that's funny. Most of us can't even dream of having a Tour Scotty, and he just throws the prick in the water!

Its better than burying the toe two feet into the green. At least he wasn't violent about it.

I was reading about it on wrx, and it absolutely is a Scotty. A pretty special mallet, from what I understand.

It wasnt his bronze one though, just his tour fastback, which already is extremely special.

I'd have dove in front of the woman with the retriever to get that thing in a heartbeat.

That doesn't belong in this sport. Complete show of disrespect. He's nothing but a tool in my eyes. Suck it up.

Sure it does. A little spice never made anything taste bad.

Just putted out with a wedge or something..

The DQ would be pointless and just bad sportsmanship at that point, cuz he wasn't going to make the cut at that rate he was at unless he like birdied in from there I believe.

Basically like a comparison, say you broke a club, just becuz of that would you just walk off the course?

While the putter toss is poor etiquette, leaving the course becuz of bad play and no chance of making the cut with 5 to play is just terrible sportsmanship.

I liked it, shows he is human & gets pissed off just like any of us. I know I have thrown balls into the woods & if I had a sponsor & never had to pay for clubs there would probably be a few of those either in the water or up in a tree somewhere.

Just watched this clip again and it was even funnier than the first time. I think from now on Charley's the man. There's definitely a bit of JD about him.
