Tiger to play US Open

He's limping and his caddie says he's hurting but he's gonna play...

That's grrreeeaaaat!

Honestly, I'd be willing bet $5,000 he doesn't win, and $2,500 he doesn't place in the top 5. Tiger is an EXCEPTIONAL golfer to the extent that no one ever thought a guy like him would surface. But he's still human. You can't not-play for weeks and expect to compete at the open.

Of course I say that, and I'm only betting he won't make the top 5 . He's still Tiger. Who knows.

I'll bet $1.49 that he doesn't make the cut.

But I'll need odds.

If there's one thing I've learned about Tiger, it's that you don't challenge him. If you do, you tend to lose. And you never, ever bet against him.

Ok, that's two things - SUE ME!

He is the one guy I would never bet against. He owns that course so even on a bad knee I think he still has a shot.

For the first time since 2006 Winged Foot, I don't think Tiger is the favorite to win a tournament now.

He may not be favourite but I reckon he will win. Look at the history. Similar knee operation years ago, first tourney back, he won.
Eye surgery, first tourney back he won.
Plus he will put 110% into it coz it will be another closer to Jacks record.

Agreed, if there is one person that CAN take 6 weeks off, have knee surgery and come back and win- its Tiger. Not saying he will do it, but I am not saying he can't either.

I wish him well. Having gone for weeks without playing, he probably needs the money.

No doubt, he is probably broke, maybe we should take up a collection to tide him over?

For Once, the field is wide open.

I think that Tiger could pull a Willis Reed and win it but the playing field is now wide open. I would look for someone like Stricker to win it.

Rank your choices to win the US Open at wedonotdospam.com .

Anyone got any further updates on his condition? I read over here his knee was fine, but obviously not the case. He's had a couple of surgeries on that knee now. Just wonder how much effect that will have on his long term career. I suppose one thing you can be sure of, Tiger will have THE best surgeons and THE best treatment you could possibly get so unless the problem was worse than described he should come back ok. Just hope he is back in time to play pain free this week.
