He'll hit his tee shots even further offline, thus encountering the really deep rough. Bye-bye Phil.

While I initially thought it was a mistake, some of his green side recoveries were absolutely amazing with all the different wedges he was carrying. More importantly, if he could not keep his strong 3 wood in the fairway, how is he going to keep the driver in play? If there was a category "stay the same" I would have chosen that, but I went with does worse.

Well, he just hit four pitch shots into the green on the par 5 thirteenth. Four pitch shots, three of which came back to his feet. From the game's best. To score a 9. Game over, Phil.

I think that since he's +9 through 13 on Saturday it really doesn't matter what he tees off with.

He may be World #2, he may be able to beat my brains out on any course while playing right handed with only one arm, and he is on my coffee cup list, but he simply sucks this weekend.

Yeah, he's not doing too good this weekend. But I love to watch and listen to his interviews. He keeps a super positive outlook on his game and never gets to down on himself. That's about all you really can do when you're down that bad.

You are correct about that, KP.

I made the mistake of making Michelson one of my choices in the "coffee cup challenge". He's my weak link. My other choices are doing fine. I'll never learn.

Phil will be out there today hitting wedges over his head behind him and flop shots that go 25 ft. high and 6 ft. forward just to entertain the crowds. Pelz will be delighted.

Just kidding, I'm sure he'll try to finish as high as he can. It must suck though to go into the last round of a major knowing you have virtually no chance to win.
