Local Course Team Events

I was just wondering how many of you know if your local course has an 8-Man Team that goes around and plays other courses for bragging rights? Here in Utah we have a few different sections that will play throughout the summer, then have playoffs to determine the winner. It's actually really fun to be able to go play other courses in a competitive atmosphere every so often with guys from your club.

Just curious to see what other states offer it and what not..

NJ has the GAP and Pub Links.
8-Man Teams
4 stay at home and play against 4 from another club.
4 go to the other course and play against the other 4 from the other team.

I haven't done it but I think it's match play, and you can earn anywhere from .5 to 4 points against your guy depending on how much you beat him, and your opponent can earn those same amount of points.

EDIT: Okay I just read something about the GAP and it actually has 12-men teams I apparently don't know as much about it as I thought. Here's the website...
