In an interview at the US Bank this week, Kenny Perry says

"I'm an American, no offense to the britains or them over there, but I like being here"

The "im an american" comment... Lost respect for him saying that, I have nothing against him for not playing the open, but saying that, just sooooo ignorant. Guess i shouldnt be surprised...

Good luck to this guy. He's 45 and finally getting some exposure. He's better off counting his money in the US while everyone else in the golfing world is freezing their butts off at The Open. Sure what's he missing?

Like I said in my original Thread the guys a Tosser, not golfing reasons for shunning the Open but the fact he can't be arsed travelling away from the US. Wonder if he'll come over for the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor in a couple of years if he makes the Team??? I hope not.

Last thing I heard was that he committed to playing the USBO early this year and is just doing what he promised. He probably had no idea he would qualify for the Open so I'm giving him a break.

BTW- I loved Zingers comment on Perry on the telecast today... for those of you watching on the BBC "over there" he said something like:
