I'm sorry, how about u show some class by not berating somebody because he tore his cornea. Seriously what is wrong with you people around here? A journeyman who you didnt care about last year, you knock him now. I'm gonna give it a rest because obviously I cant win this arguement. Hopefully JB Holmes finishes in the top 5 and locks up a Ryder Cup spot!!

He didn't tear his cornea. He just couldn't wear contacts for a couple of days.

Grammar teacher? No. I just paid attention in elementary school. And, yes, I do know that I am cool. But it's always nice to hear it out loud. Thank you.

Oh, and connoisseur means "someone qualified to pass critical judgment in the area of the arts, particularly the fine arts, or in matters of taste." I believe the word you meant to use is "aficionado."

And by all means, feel free to post links to those articles aplenty. The one I linked is an interview with Perry.

Kenny Perry withdrew with an injury to his left eye after he shot nine-over-par 79 on Thursday in the first round of the PGA Championship at Oakland Hills.


Perry, who did not play in the first three majors, said the problem with his eye began Tuesday. He tore his cornea and then sought treatment from Dr. Robert Erickson, a Birmingham ophthalmologist.

It's a good thing Tiger didn't have anything aggravating him during the U.S. Op... Oh, wait.

Well then its a good thing that Padraig didn't have any annoying distractions during the Briti... Shoot, nevermind.

I guess its lucky that Trevor Immelman hadn't come off a year with multiple injuries and a major surgery that removed a tumor from his chest cavit... Hmmm.


EDIT: And for the sake of accuracy, Perry does not lead in FedEx Cup points. Tiger is still in first place.

Perry quit because he shot a 79 simple as that. If his eye was that bad he shouldn't have teed it up in the 1st place but he had qualified for this major so had no excuse not to play. I have more respect for Monty who's going through a Major Slump in form, says his game is at about 60% where he wants it to be but it's a Major so he teed it up and gave it his best. I know who I'd rather have on my Ryder Cup team.

of course you respect Monty more, he's on your side of the pond genius. I'd like to see what you would have done in Kenny's situation. Hard to play golf when your vision is screwed. Dont worry, I'm sure he'll beat Europe's "top players" up and down Valhalla. Love to see you guys sticking up for each other

WTF is your problem?
As already posted, if Kennys vision was so bad why did he even tee it up in the 1st place? He carded a 79 & pulled a Michelle Wie, end of story.

I heard his eye fell out, knocked his ball of a tee,taking its place, he then proceeded to hit down the fairway with his one shot shape (high draw), quite frankly this guy is a hero. Everyone should shut up, this guy has one eye and can't afford glasses how dare you attack him.

Yes, Europes "Top Players" always seem to struggle in recent years don't they??? My point is it would have been easy for Moaning Monty to blame the course or think of an injury to explain his poor form but he made no excuse and just said he's not playing near well enough to compete at a Major right now, not make some BS excuse up. Maybe monty should start playing in the weaker events to get himself on the european Ryder Cup team?
