Some great golf being played today. Villegas' putting? Holy feck!

Weir? Awesome!
Singh? Stepping up tho the plate.
Garcia? I knew he could putt.

Johnny Miller? What an ass...after Tim Clark pulled a shot from a lie where the ball was above his feet, Miller said, "Does he not know that a ball above his feet will go left?"

OMFG! What a freaking idiot.

And we didn't need that Olympics replay, either. I turned on the television to watch golf.

Now I see why so many people dislike Villegas. He came across as rathar full of himself in his post-round interview.

Yes he did. I was very surprised by that...maybe I shouldn't have been.

You call him an idiot yet he has forgotten more in the 70's then you will ever possibly know about golf.

No doubt about that. Funny, I don't take that as much of an insult, because there's so much truth in it. But ease off there, bud. OK?

He is VERY knowledgable, and one of the greatest players ever. But he has a propensity for saying completely idiotic things.

There's no excuse for arrogance friend.

I'll die a good person without a thing to my name, before I die arrogant and wealthy.

I'm not sure what is more amazing, that, or the stat given that Ernie Els has only made six putts over 20' all season. That just seems impossible with the amount of golf these guys play. I think I've hit that many.

Other implausible putting numbers; Mike Weir, 21 putts on Friday, 22 today. Yeah, that's pretty good.

We followed Camillo around last year at the USBO in Milwaukee and he's joking and having a good time. Also seemed genuinely nice. Joked with the crowd etc.

I agree. I dont recall exactly what he said, but there were a few other instances where he made smartass comments and I thought to myself, "well, if its so easy and so obvious, how come YOU arent out there showing these guys how its done???" He made some smartass comment about Clark on 18. He said something like, "his plan was what? To make a 7???"
Its easy to sit in the booth and say someone should have done this or that, its much different when you have to pick up the club, set up to the ball and make the shot.

I know he isn't the most charismatic one to interact with the media, but I can assure you he is a very nice guy. I have even had the opportunity to play with him some years ago, and he is always ready to help, give advice, etc.

Just hope he doesn't screw it up tomorrow. It would be great to see him win his first PGA tournament.

So decent enough guy, but suffers from foot-in-mouth syndrom?
