    Todays Memorial Tournament...spoilers inside.

Congrats to Tiger on a hell of a tourny. 49 out of 56 fairways & was perfect today. -7 today for a 1 shot victory over Furyk.

I wonder what the Tiger haters are going to come up with now? He has played a handful of events this year & has now won 2 of them, also had something like a 4th & 6th place as well. For some golfers that's a career.

I also heard one announcer mention Tiger was using a 10º driver today, makes me wonder why we have so many hackers feel they need an 8-9º one.

    Re: Todays Memorial Tournament...spoilers inside.

I appreciate Tiger for what he is, the most dominant golfer of my generation.

I also hate the fact that golf coverage is so Tiger-centric. Of course, this applies to every other major sport as well (NBA - LeBron, Kobe; MLB - Yankees, Sox) so it is what it is.

I also rooted like hell for Rocco, because, well its Rocco.

    Am I a hater?

    Re: Todays Memorial Tournament...spoilers inside.

I watched bits and pieces of it. Thats about all of the Tiger love fest I could stomach.

I get the fact that he is a great player, may even go down in history as the greatest ever, (throws up a little in mouth). But I get so sick of the coverage that I've taken to watching a lot more Nationwide, LPGA, European and Champions Tour events on television than PGA.

What a great tourney to watch. That shot Tiger hit on 18 was unreal. And how about Byrd, Furyk, and Davis Love?????? Not to mention Wisconsin native Wilson. They played great...........how many lead changes were there anyway? But 67 wins at 33 years old for Tiger. Jack was 38 I think they said when he got 67. One thing I have to say..............what could those old guys from the past have done with today's equipment? But also, the courses are so much longer now also..............so who knows. Fun to watch though.

DL3 was putting out of his mind on the back 9, until the end.

I was rootin' for the loopy swingin man Furyk.. He was playing great.

That said, I'm happy for Tiger.. Looks like he got his tee troubles worked out. I noticed he got rid of the old driver, and got a new 10* driver and was smashing it.

I'm ready for the Open... Gonna be a tough, tough course.

Tiger is the without question the best golfer of our generation. I watched the replay of the third round on Saturday night (while the Red Wings were eating Penguin pie for dinner) and all of the final round. Tiger is probably not my favourite golfer, but he's certainly alot of fun to watch, even if he doesn't win.

    Re: Todays Memorial Tournament...spoilers inside.

I watched the last 10 holes or so & was wondering just how the hell was playing with Tiger since I never saw a single shot from the mystery man. Until the 18th when they showed his 3 putt blowup. The guy gets squat for TV & then when he finally gets his shot at some airtime it's for a really messy hole.

  15. Re: Todays Memorial Tournament...spoilers inside.

As soon as I turned on coverage on Saturday I said, "Finally, Tiger is playing a shorter driver!"

The loft change is almost meaningless. Changing from 45" to 44 1/4", which is what this driver is, is a much bigger change. Especially for an upright swinger such as himself.

To go from not being able to hit a parking lot to something like 87% of fairways, something had to change dramatically.

The last time Tiger hit that many fairways over a tourney, he was playing his Titleist 975D with a steel shaft at 43.5".
