    US Open ~ USGA?

The USGA organiser's of the US Open don't have talk crap. When players requested they introduce lift, clean and place on fairway's as the course was getting so soft that balls hitting centre of the fairway were picking up mud, they refered to it as 'lift, clean and cheat'. I'm not a fan of placeing but being punished after a perfect tee shot is a farce. I think it should be as the R&A do where it's lift clean and place within 6 inches rather than the two club lengths they allow on the US tour. I want to see the best player win not the player who has the most luck.

I also think they should have jigged things around so that the whole field got to play in the decent weather conditions instead of the 1st half of the field getting the worse stuff on day one/two. Then the later starters got the best of yesterdays and this mornings weather and those who had the crap in the 1st round are scheduled to get it agian this time round today/tomorrow. Best play so far has in my opinion been McDowell's 1st round.

You've never lovely reffered to it as lift, clean, and cheat? That's what I call it all the time, even when I'm playing it.

The USGA has a rules official with every group with the power to allow a ball with mud or an imbedded ball to be lifted and cleaned.

While McDowell's round was great, Weir did shoot a 64 yesterday, as did Lucas Glover this morning. A Brit complaining about unfair weather? You know we are just doing it so "someone from over there" does win the US Open, don't you?

What about D. Duval, T4. I'd love to see him win this thing and get his game back on track.

Although Weir and DD played very well McDowell shot his score in the worst of the weather which is why I think it was the best opening round.

Our Boys from over here would rather win THE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP anyway.

I rooting for Rocco & Poultz cos I've got money on them. One of those or Mickleson would be my choice for winning this... I love watching PM play all out aggresion, he fooks up when he tries to play safe from the tee with a rescue or fairway wood.
