Monday golf.... Unusual...

Well, our televised rounds are Sunday and Monday this week. Wife dislikes (hates) sports. Will have fun, breaking the news to her, Golf ain't over on Sunday!!!!

Just pulled up the leader board. Wow!!! TW hanging on the cut line by his toenails. Stricker, on the other hand, tied for 5th. Should TW miss the cut... or finish near the bottom of the pack... and Stricker finish in the top 3 or 5, it could mean quite a shake up in the FedEx points. I guess my question is this...

If he's playing... Can the PGA actually award the FedEx trophy to anyone but TW?

Did anyone see the club toss, yesterday. It's being bantered about on many of the other forums. Guess TW hurled his driver quite a distance, after a bad tee shot, and it landed in some tall gunch. Stevie had to wade in, find the driver, and retrieve it. Would like to hear some feedback from anyone who saw the toss. Good form? Good distance? Was the right knee fully extended as he finished his follow through? Was the toss something we will see from every young wannabe, now??

Impossible..... I thought I invented the toss. Just kidding. I've tossed a club twice. Once I just tossed it back towards (which ended up AT) my bag, breaking the shaft of a 3w. The second time I tossed one about 30yds up to where my ball came to rest after chunking the snot out of it. I didn't see Tigers toss, but i'm sure it was ________

My man leishman just made a hell of a run up the leaderboard. Just hope he plays well over sunday & Monday and gets another nice finish. A win would be nice but probably asking a bit much in his first year on tour!

To me Tiger doesn't look like he's having fun this year. I would be willing to bet there are personal issues off the course that are part of what we are seeing this year on the course. Pure speculation here but I wonder how things are on the home front.

I don't think that has anything to do with it. He is allowing the media as well as himself to simply expect too much.

To me he looks like he's pissed off inside about something. At times this season he has looked like he doesn't even want to be there.

Hell I don't know.. Have a swedish model for a wife, 2 perfectly healthy young kids, millions a year..

Hell the man has tons of home problems.

The problem is, Tiger is human. Tiger can't putt right now, so he won't win right now. People expect too much from him, and Tiger expects too much from himself. He's good, but he's not going to win every one, and people should expect that now.

Yeah, you make good points here but at the same time I do agree with Fisher. Tiger doesn't look like he's having much fun this year. Even when he wins it looks painful. Could he be putting to much pressure on himself, letting the media put pressure on him? He has the same # of wins this year that Daly has in his career, 5, so it can't be a bad year except Tiger threw down the gauntlet of no majors=bad year.

I don't know and really there are only a handful of people close enough to Tiger to know for sure. But really, him and I can trade spots any day or at least bank accounts!

There was recently a story in the news where a guy with a bikini model wife killed and dismembered her. Their wedding pictures in the news made them look like the perfect pair. Most guys would die for the chance at a chick like that but obviously there were problems there.

Now I'm not saying that Tiger's going to kill and dismember anyone. My point is that outward appearances can be decieving. No matter how much money someone has or how gorgious their wife doesn't mean there is happiness there. Now you throw a couple of kids in the mix and things get alot more complicated.

I could be completely wrong and I hope I am but its just a little theory I have.

As much as it pains me to say this, I agree with Fisher,


Tiger doesn't look like he wants to be out there, more or less enjoying is himself. IMHO he has gotten so used to dominating on the tour, and now for whatever reason he isn't or can't. To me it almost looks like he spent too much time in the gym during his layoff, and now he isn't as flexible as he needs to be.

When you see a club get thrown like that its usually not the golf that was the root cause of the anger.

Well, Leishman made an eagle on the final hole to jump himself up to 67th place on the list, so he gets to play next week in Chicago. Pretty cool, as apparently a birdie would have seen him JUST short.

I love hearing stories like that, especially about guys I know.
