Why I Watch Senior Tounaments

Because I'm now OLD and these old guy's bodies have gone to seed just like mine and their once beautiful swings look like crap just like mine.... and they still play really GOOD!!!

Pro golfers I can "relate" too!!!

Yeah, I like them too. I still have a flat belly at age 54, but those guys use those guts to good effect. They still outdrive me.

I like watching Champions Tour because I just like watching golf in general. Funny, I probably like watching golf more than playing.

Every year I go to the event held at the TPC here in Tampa Bay. I am absolutely AMAZED at how great these guys still play.

My very first experience at what was then called the GTE Classic (then the Verizon Classic, and now the Outback Bowl, or something like that - does anyone else think this corporate naming BS has gotten WAY out of hand?)

Anyway, my first memory was going through the gate, grabbing a beer, and watching in awe as Calvin Peete (remember him) smoked a 310 yard drive straight down the middle of the fairway. I watched Nicklaus, Player, and Trevino walk down the fairway together.

They say nobody goes to the Champion's Tour events. Well, there are always big crowds at the Tampa event, and it's always great fun. Does it measure up to a PGA event? No. But who cares. It's great golf, played by great icons of the game. I love it.

Now now... Their swing haven't gone to crap. These guys never changed their old efficient swing, they swinged like that when they were younger
Imagine the current generation with the modern swing when they'll retire to the Seniors Tour. Same swing
