This, for whatever reason, always seem to be the also ran of the 4 majors in men's golf. Still, it's provided some fine champions and play, and I think it also might be the last tournament for points for Ryder Cup spots.
It's probably a no-brainer to put Tiger Woods as the favorite going in, his win at The Open Championship, and a couple of weeks back at the Buick has shown him to be in excellent form.

I'm going to go out on a limb and pick Phil Mickelson. I think the fact of the course having a lot of right-to-left doglegs favors his lefty fade. Awfully hard to count Tiger out as the favorite, though. He is in such fine form right now. I look for Tiger to win the grand slam next year.

I keep on looking for some of the young lions to go out a win a major instead of all the guys in their 30's and early 40's winning them...
Looks like finally they are going to be in contention. I think a lot of these guys in their 20's are satisfied to make the cut and get a good paycheck on Sunday and don't have the real drive to get over the hump and win a big one...
